Sustainability & Environment

A1. Yes, jute is 100% biodegradable and can also be recycled . After use, it can be reprocessed into new jute products, converted into paper pulp, or upcycled into crafts, insulation, or other non-woven materials.

A2. Jute is a rain-fed crop requiring minimal fertilizers or pesticides. It boosts soil fertility, prevents erosion, and supports livelihoods for millions of small farmers, especially in rural areas of India and Bangladesh.

"A3. Jute is fully biodegradable. Under composting conditions, it decomposes naturally within 2–4 months, while in regular soil it may take around 6–8 months. No microplastic pollution In addition to quick biodegradation, jute production uses low energy, supports local farmers and artisans, and leaves zero toxic residue upon decomposition."

"A4.Jute biodegrades in 2–3 months Plastic bags take 400–1000 years Jute leaves no environmental residue."

"A5. Positive impacts include:
CO₂ absorption (1 hectare of jute absorbs ~15 tons)
Minimal irrigation
Enhances soil quality
No synthetic pesticide run-off"

Product Performance & Durability

A1. Jute can last 6 to 12 months outdoors, depending on exposure to sunlight, rain, and humidity. With proper treatment and lamination, durability can be extended.

A2. Our jute bags are designed for high tensile strength, load-bearing up to 50–100 kg, and suitable for stacking, shipping, and storage, ensuring product safety during long supply chains.

"A3. Jute is breathable and allows natural air circulation, which helps in:
Preventing mold
Minimizing internal condensation
Maintaining product quality, especially for green coffee and grains"

A4. While jute bags are ideal for dry goods, we recommend lined jute bags (paper or BOPP) for fresh produce to reduce moisture ingress. Jute’s breathability helps slow down spoilage by reducing trapped humidity.

"A5. Yes, our bags withstand:
Cold storage down to -10°C
Heat up to 50°C However, extreme wetness may reduce longevity, so dry storage is recommended."

"A6. Store in:
Cool, dry environments
Away from direct sunlight
On pallets to avoid moisture contact from the ground"

Food Safety & Compliance

A1. Absolutely. Our jute bags are MOSH/MOAH compliant, free of synthetic oils, and treated with food-safe vegetable oils — making them ideal for packaging coffee, cacao, rice, and other food grains.

"A2. Yes, Agro Ecovations' jute bags are fully compliant with MOSH/MOAH standards.
Our compliance standards follow maximum limits of:
MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons): ≤ 240 mg/kg
MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons): ≤ 40 mg/kg
These levels are well within the safety thresholds outlined by the European Commission."

A3. MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons) and MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons) can migrate into food and pose health risks. Compliance ensures food safety and protects consumer health.

A4. By replacing mineral oils with vegetable oil-based batching oil, we eliminate hydrocarbon contamination at the source.

A5. Yes, we provide third-party laboratory certificates confirming compliance for every batch of food-grade jute bags upon request.

"A6. Exceeding safe limits can:
Lead to shipment rejection
Risk health and brand trust
Trigger regulatory penalties That’s why our jute undergoes rigorous testing before shipping."

Customization & Certifications

"A1. Agro Ecovations' jute bags are:
MOSH/MOAH-free
Hydrocarbon-free
Treated with Vegetable Oils (non-toxic)
Compliant with European food safety standards
Customizable to meet GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or ISO certifications upon request."

"A2. We offer:
Size and weight customization
Printing with eco-friendly inks
Lining options (poly-lining, paper lining)
Drawstring closures, handles
Lamination or coating for water resistance"

"A3. Yes, we offer fully customizable jute bags including:
Sizes
Stitching types
Branding prints
Inner linings
Closure systems"

"A4. Yes. Our breathable jute bags:
Prevent mold buildup
Allow air flow
Maintain aroma and freshness
Reduce condensation"

A5. Yes. Jute bags are often used over Ecotact hermetic liners as secondary packaging — combining strength with freshness preservation.

Logistics & Export

"A1. Durability
Stackable without damage
Breathability, reducing spoilage
Environmentally friendly branding advantage"

"A2. We follow a strict QA protocol, including:
Fiber strength and weight checks
Stitching and seam inspections
Oil residue testing (MOSH/MOAH)
Lab reports with each batch"

A3. Yes. Our jute bags are compliant with EU regulations (including German BfR guidelines) and FDA-approved for dry food packaging in the US.

Ecotact-Specific Packaging

A1. Ecotact’s high-barrier bags can preserve the freshness and quality of food grains for over a year when packed and stored properly, without the need for pesticides or insecticides.

A2. We are happy to inform you that the OTR & WVTR of Ecotact Bags are close to zero. The Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) is 0.56 cc/㎡.24H while Water Vapour Transmission Rate (WVTR/MTR) is 0.76 g/㎡.24H.

A3. Ecotact's oxygen barrier properties allow the aroma to remain locked into the bags. The moisture barrier properties also do not allow atmospheric moisture to come in or grain moisture levels to get released into the atmosphere.

A4. For more than one year if packed and preserved properly.

A5. Ecotact products are 9 layered high barrier transparent recyclable food grade plastic bags with OTR and WVTR close to zero thus preserving food grains for more than a year in terms of their aroma and moisture content. 9 layered technology gives that extra protection needed for sensitive food grains and increases the shelf life of the product packed.

A6. Preferred secondary packaging for Ecotact Storage Bags are jute and Polypropylene bags. Kraft paper bags can also be used. Secondary packaging helps in handling and stacking of bags.

A7. 7 to 8 percentage for cocoa and 10 to 12 percentage for green coffee beans.

A8. 15 to 30 degrees Celsius and Relative Humidity between 40 to 70%. With such conditions the chances of condensation in the coffee gets minimised even in the toughest of atmospheric conditions after having the food grains packed.
